Original Description:
I want to bring attention to the section of Dundas Street East between Jarvis and Parliament. This area, despite being a major route to exit on to the Don Valley Parkway (DVP), is currently neglected and in dire need of revitalization. There are a few local businesses, (Ju Sushi for example), striving to succeed in this community. However, the lack of aesthetic appeal and general upkeep in this area is a significant hindrance to their success. By investing in beautification efforts for Dundas Street, we can attract more visitors, support local businesses, and enhance the overall image of our neighborhood. I propose the following improvements: 1. Installation of public art and murals to brighten up the streetscape between Jarvis and Parliament. 2. Flowers and hanging planters to make the street more inviting. 3. Upgrading street furniture, such as benches and lighting, to improve safety.
