PB2025 - Heritage signage recognizing Historic Queen Street East's significance to the St. Lawrence neighbourhood

This idea proposes installing Heritage signage for street signs recognizing 10 cultural corridor locations along Queen Street between Yonge Street and Parliament Street.

Transportation Services staff have reviewed this idea and estimate that the cost of each sign is about $400. That is a total of $4000 for 10 signs. Complications may apply.

Original Description:

To extend the visual identity of heritage and cultural assets of the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood and highlight Historic Queen East.

Install ten (10) signs along Queen St. E. between Yonge St. and Parliament St.

Top line: St. Lawrence Neighbourhood

Second Line: Queen St. Cultural Corridor

Third Line: Historic Queen East

Note: these signs would refresh the identity of this stretch of Historic Queen East, replacing existing signs which have completely faded and are no longer legible.
