Streetscape Improvement:

Courthouse Square Park on the north side of Court St. has been identified as warranting investment in furniture and maintenance in 2026.

This PB Project suggestion is to plant flowering, climbing, annuals (such as wisteria) in all nine of the tall obelisk-style planters on the north sidewalk of Court St. between Toronto St and Church St., in advance of the upcoming investment in the Park itself. Eight of these street planters are currently empty, but for weeds; one contains a struggling wisteria plant.

The cost estimate for this project is modest. Large plants and new soil will cost $500 to $1,000, and the labour to clean up and replant the planters should be no more than $2,000. Total cost estimate (budgetary purposes only) = $3,000.
