This idea proposes Taddle Creek themed sculptures to be installed for the Bay Street bioswale and planters from Bay and college up to Bay and Charles.
Transportation Services staff have reviewed this proposal and estimate it will cost approximately $250,000 including materials and labour.

Original Description:
Create Taddle Creek themed sculpture artwork for the Bay Street bioswale and planters on Bay from College to Charles. Possible sculptures could be brightly coloured flowers, fish, frogs, bees to reflect the history of greenspace and fishing in nearby Taddle Creek. Similar to bird sculptures installed each spring from Bloor Yorkville BIA on Bloor Street, but unique sculptures that would represent Bay Cloverhill area.
Note: This is one idea which can be scoped in a range of cost brackets, with associated investments ranging from large to very significant. It is hoped that there will be ongoing dialogue with the Councillor’s office to qualify and shape this idea further as design and cost input is received from staff experts at the City, and prior to it being submitted for voting.
