Regular bikes should be allowed

From "Church Street Pedestrianization Pilot"

Go to the project

All pedestrian streets in Europe allow bike usage (regular bikes and bike share bikes) to be ridden among the pedestrians. This of course does not apply to scooters and Uber eats delivery bikes. Getting to work is much slower because they want us to walk our bikes. Not a great idea because there is more than enough room to co-exist.

This morning, once all the cars passed on church and Maitland. Three bikes sped past us from the sidewalk. Bikes have a place but it is not the crosswalk. It is for pedestrians. There is not as much room as you think. 2 blocks is not a far walk.
