Parks, Forestry, and Recreation Staff have reviewed this idea and determined it is not feasible. The Michael Comstock Pavilion was recently constructed as part of the St James Park public improvements and revitalization less than 10 years ago. Additional work to the park would need to go through a robust community consultation process.

As it currently stands, the Michael Comstock pavilion at St James Park is not used for as many community events as it could be. I think that if it were restructured to remove the wooden structure it could be a larger and more useful space. Specifically, community music events and festivals could be hosted at the park to bring people together and fund the arts.
