Stop sign at the North West intersection of Scott St. and Front St.

At the North West corner of Scott St. and Front St, there is a stop sign. This stop sign is too far back from the intersection and often covered up by trees. Often the driver does not even see it.
If they do see it, and stop their car, they are stopping before the intersection which is not the correct place to stop. Then because they have stopped, they drive to the intersection and don't stop, because they already have. This endangers pedestrians and cyclists, basically anyone who is crossing from East to West or from West to East. The people crossing expect that the driver will stop. But the driver doesn't because technically they already have.
My request is for the stop sign to be moved to the intersection, and not covered by trees. This will be much safer for pedestrians and cyclists that are crossing at the intersection.
