This idea is not suitable for inclusion in the Participatory Budgeting process. This proposal falls under the category of Traffic Regulation Review, which is something we proactively undertake and which doesn’t require funding. This idea has been resubmitted under the Traffic Regulation Review.
Traffic Lights at Front St E and Jarvis St.
From "2023 PB Cluster 5"
Go to the project
Due to large amount of traffic on both streets, vehicles are blocking the intersections both ways, with the amount of traffic blocking Front St E sometimes to the Fire Hall at Princess Street.
- I suggest that: Green left turn arrows be installed for Eastbound and Westbound Traffic
- The timed pedestrian signals should be changed to stop the count down to 0 at least 10 seconds before the lights turn to amber and red for vehicular traffic.
