FAQ
What is Toronto Centre Projects?
Toronto Centre Projects is designed to engage community members and crowdsource ward projects supported by my office and your neighbours. With Toronto Centre Projects, we’ve merged all parts of the community engagement process in one place.
Through this new platform, you can:
- Stay up to date with ongoing local projects and development applications
- Participate in community consultations
- Submit community project proposals
- Support proposals from your neighbours
This platform offers the opportunity to share your ideas at your convenience. You can participate anytime, anywhere. When it’s safe to do so, our office will also be collecting ideas and feedback in-person at community events, in public parks, and door-to-door in your neighbourhoods to reach as many residents as possible including those who don’t have a computer or internet access.
Together we will continue to build healthier, safer, more accessible, and vibrant communities.
What are Proposals?
Proposals are submitted and promoted by residents in the community. Residents are asked to collect digital signatures in support of the proposal (amend a policy, initiate a project, change parking regulations, etc).
Submitted proposals have 120 days to reach the required threshold of 60 supporters in order to be considered by Councillor Moise’s Office. This metric is designed to ensure community support. Without completion of this first step, the proposal will not move forward.
Eligibility Criteria:
- It must have an impact within the boundaries of Ward 13 - Toronto Centre;
- It must fall within the policy areas and competencies of Toronto City Council;
- It serves the public interest rather than your individual interest;
- It does not discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, race, age, or socio-economic background; and
- It does not harm others.

What is a Project?
Projects are identified through the office of Councillor Moise. They will initiate a sequence of activities (i.e. submitting ideas, filling out a survey, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and prioritizing them) with the objective of making decisions supported by the community.
Projects include participatory components such as ideation/proposals (residents submit and vote on each other's ideas), participatory budgeting (proposals are assigned a dollar value and voted on within the budget available), and meetings/events.
Where can I see past projects?
Past projects created through this platform will remain accessible on this website after a project is completed.
