BudgetTO 2026

The City of Toronto is holding consultations to inform its 2026 Budget.

Share your ideas between October 1 and October 31 by completing a short online survey (available in 12 languages) and attending one of six in-person or virtual consultation meetings.

This year, there are four phases to the budget process, including:

  1. Pre-Budget Consultations (November 2025)
  2. Budget Launch (January 2026)
  3. Committee Review & Public Deputations (January 2026)
  4. Approval Phase (February 2026)

Budget Launch

January 8, 2026 5:00 AM - January 9, 2026 5:00 AM

The City Budget is launched and becomes public on January 8, 2026. City Councillors, including those on the Budget Committee, get a first look at the proposed budget at the same time as the general public.

The meeting begins at 9:30am on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in Committee Room 1 at Toronto City Hall (100 Queen Street East) and will stream live on the Toronto City Council YouTube channel.
