Neighbourhood Watch Program Survey

The Toronto Police Service is reaching out to community members to gauge their interest in Neighbourhood Watch Programs. These programs have existed in Toronto in various forms since 1982. The overarching principle of Neighbourhood Watch Programs is neighbours looking out for neighbours. The programs are a proactive approach to reducing crime by communities coming together, through increased awareness and effective communication, to recognize and report suspicious activities. Although supported by a Toronto Police Service Crime Prevention Officer, these voluntary programs are run independent of the Toronto Police Service and the City of Toronto.
