New Park on Richmond Street East
A new public park is prospectively opening in the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood East by 2026.
We want your help to explore design options for the growth of this park to serve you and your neighbours best! This new public park results from the development agreement between the City and Tricon Residential Inc., who are developing two buildings adjacent to the park at Queen Street East, Ontario Street, and Richmond Street East.
The park will be designed and constructed by Tricon Residential Inc. in partnership with the City of Toronto, and will add 1400m/sq of public space, approximately the size of a hockey rink for community gatherings.
The Richmond Street East Park has a design vision that draws inspiration from nature, as an accessible and calm public space that allows for flexibility in hosting events and performances. With a design focus on the park being indigenous placekeeping, we foresee the flexibility of the park to open up opportunities to host events and foster community performances.
The park is currently in Phase 2 of community engagement until the end of 2023.

This park is currently in the process of being named!
