New Street Planters in St. Lawrence Neighbourhood
About the Project
We're supporting more beautification in the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood by adding street planters.
In 2023, the community voted to provide $50,000 in s37 community benefits through Participatory Budgeting to initiate a pilot project aimed at beautifying our streets.
The street planters, to be installed at four different locations, will provide an opportunity for residents to engage in neighbourhood flower planting. These immovable planters not only serve as a functional addition to public spaces but also act as living canvases, inviting community members to contribute to the urban landscape in a colourful, dynamic way.
This work will be led by the Old Town Toronto BIA who will be selecting the vendor and contractors to take on the work.
