About the Project
Significant infrastructure upgrades are coming to Ontario Street in 2025.
This comprehensive project will cover the stretch between Wellesley and Carlton, focusing on enhancing various aspects of the area.
Key Features of the Project:
- Upgrading sewers and resurfacing roads
- Improving the streetscape with repairs to the east-side sidewalk, boulevard, and tree planters
- Potential road narrowing between 583 Ontario Street and Wellesley to enhance safety and street conditions

Starting on January 26, 2026, the City’s contractor will commence work at Carlton Street and move north toward Aberdeen Avenue, progressing block-by-block until the project concludes at Wellesley Street East. Construction work is scheduled for July 31, 2026, for completion.
