Over the last 15 months, you’ve shared the parking issues in Regent Park that you’ve been facing due to the revitalization.
We have heard your concerns and continued struggles, and we thank you for your continued support.
Through this timeline, we have come up with a solution: Permit Parking!

Multiple city agencies, departments and divisions are responsible for parking in the city:
1) Transportation Services:
- General regulations such as No Parking, No Stopping and hourly limits is handled by Traffic Operations Unit
- Overnight on-street residential (permit) parking and Front Yard parking pads – Parking and Administration Unit.
2) Toronto Police Services: Enforcement of all parking regulations
3) Toronto Parking Authority (TPA): On-Street Commercial/Metered spaces and Off-Street Commercial Lots #
Area based
- Permit allows you to park on multiple streets
- Most Common as it provides residents with the most flexibility
