St. Lawrence Community Recreation Centre
About the Project
The City is making state-of-good repair improvements to the air conditioning system and replacing the roof at St. Lawrence Community Recreation Centre and Co-operative Daycare. The new chiller and air conditioning system will be installed after the roof improvements are completed.
The work is fully funded within the 2024 Capital Budget for Parks and Recreation.
The design is complete, and the process of issuing the construction tender is underway. The project remains on schedule, with construction set to begin in the summer of 2025 and finish by the spring of 2026.

- John Innes Community Recreation Centre
- One Yonge Community Recreation Centre
- Pam McConnell Aquatic Centre
- Regent Park COmmunity Centre
- Wellesley Community Centre
Membership Extensions
- With the new FitnessTO model, patrons can continue to use their passes or memberships to access programs and services at St. Lawrence CRC at any other City of Toronto facilities.
- When exceptionally hot, patrons can request to pause their memberships and resume access when comfortable or safe.
- Pro-rated refunds can be requested for both fitness and squash memberships.
Interim Cooling Solutions
Work is underway to install ductless air conditioning units in:
- Four daycare classrooms
- Two multi-purpose rooms (Youth Lounge & Older Adult space)
