Toronto YMCA Family Development Child Care Mural Project

Councillor Chris Moise proudly presents an initiative to transform the area in front of the Toronto YMCA Family Development Child Care Centre (15 Breadalbane Street) with an Outdoor Art Mural that will feature local Ward 13 art created by STEPS Public Art. This project aims to eliminate graffiti, deter anti-social behaviour, and greatly enhance the visual appeal of Dr. Lillian McGregor Park.

This project was originally proposed by residents to paint the laneway east of the park. However, due to contractual complications, we have shifted the project to YMCA.

By using public art as a revitalizing tool, this mural will foster a safe and vibrant atmosphere in the neighbourhood. This initiative reflects Councillor Moise's commitment to promoting community engagement, public safety, and beautification of urban areas through culture, art, and creativity.

This project will be led by STEPS Public Art to complete public consultation in the neighbourhood and curate art.
