Traffic Control Signals - Carlton Street and Homewood Avenue
Earlier this year, my office conducted a thorough examination of traffic regulations in cooperation with the local community. Through this collaborative process, it came to light that community members strongly advocate for the introduction of traffic control signals at the crossing of Homewood Street and Carlton Street. Adding these extra traffic controls at the pedestrian crossing will establish a seamless connection from Homewood Avenue through Allan Gardens and down Pembroke Street to Moss Park, enhancing connectivity and safety within the Garden District.
In response to the findings and community support, City Council has granted approval for the installation of traffic control signals at the intersection of Carlton Street and Homewood Avenue.
