Traffic Regulation Review - Spring 2023
Our office is conducting a traffic regulation review across the ward to advance Vision Zero and optimize parking, traffic, and transit conditions, but we need your input.
Through the traffic regulation review, we are looking to identify streets and intersections which we can request staff make improvements that include:
- Reducing speed limits
- Installing pedestrian crossing signals or traffic control signals
- Installing or removing "no standing/parking" zones

Community Council
This item will be considered by Toronto and East York Community Council on June 22, 2023. City Council has delegated final decision-making authority for the subject of this agenda item. The Toronto and East York Community Council will make the final decision on this item unless any amendments approves exceed its authority
Recommendations:
- Toronto and East York Community Council prohibits standing at all times on the south side of Front Street East, between George Street South and a point 30.5 metres east.
- Toronto East York Community Council rescind the existing parking machines on the south side of Front Street East, between Lower Jarvis and Lower Sherbourne Street, in effect from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Monday to Friday; from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday and from 1:00 pm to (;00 pm, Sunday, for a maximum period of three hours and at a rate of $3.00 per hour.
- Toronto East York Community Council authorize the installation of parking machines on the south side of Front Street East, between Lower Jarvis Street and George Street South, to be in effect from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm , and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm., Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday and from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday and from 1:00pm to 9:00 pm , Sunday for a maximum period of 3 hours and at. rate of $3.00 per hour.
