Traffic Regulation Review

END OF TERM NOTICE

The last Toronto & East York Community Council meeting for the 2022-2026 term of Council is Wednesday July 8 and Thursday July 9, 2026.

As a result, any new proposals or those that are currently under review by Transportation Staff will be deferred until Community Council resumes in 2027.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. Together we have made significant safety improvements for pedestrians and cyclists, helped move transit faster and reduced congestion, and optimized parking and traffic regulations.

My office is conducting an ongoing and proactive traffic regulation review across the ward to advance Vision Zero objectives and optimize parking, traffic, and transit conditions. We need your input!

Through the traffic regulation review, we are looking to identify streets and intersections where we can request staff make improvements that include:

  • Reducing speed limits
  • Installing pedestrian crossing signals or traffic control signals
  • Installing or removing "no standing/parking" zones
