About the Project
Vinyl Wrapped Garbage Receptacle Pilot is coming to St. Lawrence neighbourhood in Spring 2025.
In 2023, the community voted to provide $20,000 in s37 community benefits to initiate a pilot project aimed at beautifying our streets.
Within this pilot, 6 public garbage receptacles have been strategically selected in collaboration with the Old Town Toronto Business Improvement Area, Transportation Services and the Councillor's office to test for efficiency and response.
This initiative will transform the currently plain astral media metal garbage bins within the boundaries of the Old Town Toronto BIA, into beautified neighbourhood focussed art pieces.
Aiming to optimize environmental aesthetics and showcase local art and culture to visitors, this project showcases Councillor Moise's commitment to innovative urban planning.
If this pilot is successful, more bins will be wrapped across Ward 13 within BIA catchment areas in partnership with BIAs.
