Winchester Park Four Season Mosaic Project

About the Project

Public Art is coming to Winchester Park! This exciting project will install four pebble stone mosaics, each measuring 3x3 feet, at the four corners of the park.

In 2024, the community voted to provide $75,000 in s37 community benefits through Participatory Budgeting to initiate a pilot project aimed at beautifying our streets.

The mosaics, done by Redefine Arts, will not only beautify the park but also provide much-needed seating areas. With four clusters of Armour Stone seating, residents will have a cozy place to relax and enjoy the art throughout the year.

Starting in July 2025, community outreach will kick off. Residents will have the opportunity to participate in consultations, sharing their ideas and contributing to the design and implementation of the mosaics. This collaborative approach ensures that the art reflects the community's spirit and creativity.

Installation of the pebble stone mosaics is scheduled for the first week of September 2025 and will continue until the end of the month.
