Traffic Law enforcement

John McVicker•2 years ago It has been observed by myself and community members that traffic law enforcement has become more and more lax. Cars have gone from rolling stops to complete pass-throughs, just like the bicycles that I believe are covered in the same traffic laws. Pedestrians never "look both ways" before crossing a street and I observe that parents are setting role models for their children who now treat crossing a street as just an extension of a sidewalk and no caution is needed. Speed limit changes will not remediate the issues. Education and active equal law enforcement should help and should be part of the traffic reviews.

Traffic Law enforcement

John McVicker•2 years ago There needs to be a sustained effort to enforce traffic rules in all of Cabbagetown and the city. Rolling stops at stop signs from both cars and bikes, driving down one-way streets the wrong way, speeding bikes, cars, e-scotters on streets and sidewalks,Further pedestrians need to be re-educated in street safety. Walking off the curb without looking is a sure way to get injured and cause car crashes. The behaviour is getting worse over the past few years.
